  • DS3 Wait

    Hi all.

I'm posting this on behalf of my partner, they don't seem bothered about the wait but I think the dealership has been useless!

They have advised there is still no build date for their car (car ordered 10/10), and have said the car should arrive by 10/12, although having read on here they will have no way of guaranteeing this?

They have ordered a dstyle nav 1.2, polar white with emerald roof with emerald sports seats (these are what made it a factory order).

In your experience how long are they going to have to wait? I think it'll be Jan/Feb having looked on here but no way to say? I'm just posting on here as the dealership don't seem to know what they are doing!!

Calm down you'll give yourself a stroke.

I don't know what you expect the dealer to do. They can not speed up your order any and can only give the info they get from Citroen being the estimated date. Which I read as being in Dec so R E L A X peruse the forums and internet looking at pic and planning all the nice drives through the countryside and car meets that you can attend. Getting upset at this point is just plain pointless.

oh I waited over 3 months for mine

Waits? Experience of waits? Ordered months ago, and still waiting me. Just been told the early December date may be compromised..

        Ah! Wrong carforum... It's not a DS3 ;-)

I waited just under 3 months for my factory build. Have a look at the delivery dates & lead times thread if you want some more info on why it takes so long.

This is why I'll never have a brand new car. I can't wait! I go to the dealership and I say 'don't show me anything I can't drive away today or pick up tomorrow'. They don't like it but if they want the business, it's their choice. And luckily as long as the spec is close enough, I'm not hard to please.

It's probably a good job everyone else isn't like me though. :0)

              DS3 Wait

Waited two and a half months for mine. Seems pretty average.

I'm leaving the Citroen fold and Honda is making me wait 5 months for my new car and that date isn't fixed. I should have the car by the new registration in March is the official line.

I've found Citroen dealers to be really good and found the hype surrounding Honda's service as reliable as the hype about their F1 engines!!

It's a shame Citroen don't make a performance car, as I've found reliability and dealer service to be very good on the whole.

Thanks for all your advise, dealer called to confirm it will be leaving the factory 01/12. Around 2-3 weeks after that apparently.
