From the taste police? Or Citroen, in which case have they given a reason? I would guess they'll have a quality control reason for it, perhaps Bigfeet may know more given his dealer network connections.
Its for quaility control. Citroen have decided is best to remove all ordered and sold vinyls from the vehicles because the quality is not of a standard Citroen deem acceptable.
If you really like the vinyl, you are allowed to keep it on, but there will be no warranty for the vinyl if it were to develop any issues.
Youll recieve a call from your salesman within the next few days so he can explain your specific situation.
I would rather keep it on. It's the appeal of the car. So long as you wash it in the correct
way and don't jet wash it go through a car wash I don't see any issues it could develop?
So Citroen aren't offering to just replace the wrap by doing a proper wrap instead of a decal?
According to the bumf released when it came out it was highly durable, resistant to fuel spills etc. and was a proper vinyl wrap. Guessing they've now found out otherwise and would prefer to remove them before they end up with nearly new cars running round looking shabby and owners getting annoyed with dealers.

Bonkers. It would cost them less than £1000 per car to get it re-wrapped by one of this companies that do vinyl wrapping using a printed wrap. I'm amazed they've still got it on sale if this is happening
I am so not happy with what they've said in letter. Does not even explain a thing just a bribe of £1000
for a car I paid £21000 for, purposely for the unique design which they
now want to remove to be left with a plain black boring car

Once the vinyl has been removed what car is it? Engine and spec-wise? I'd want that difference.
Once the wrap is removed it's actually a pretty good deal in my opinion....including the 1000 back off list it was 19795 or so. It's a Perla nera black d style nav with bellones, leather, metal pedals, 1.2 110 Bhp auto and LED lights. Configurator puts such a car at well over 20k (21390 to be exact with as close a spec as can manage).
However if the wrap was why you bought it then I can see why you'd be peeved.

It's a 1.2 petrol automatic with no metal pedals and a badge saying DARKLIGHT on the back of it once the
vinyl is removed and price tag was £20,600 on the road. I would have bought a normal black car otherwise
as that's what I would end up with. All this should have been looked into before advertising as Rare... Only 300 manufactured... Unique etc etc... Not gonna be now with all the attraction removed

The information I had on it said metal pedals and a price of 20795, if it was 20600 and they give you a grand then effectively you have a car that lists for 21390 (if you spec a dstyle nav to the same standard) for 19600 and a free weekend away. However as I said if the only reason you bought it was the wrap then I understand why the maths would be of no comfort.

Yeh, no metal pedals that was another question when collecting it... Apparently because it's Auto can't be
metal and it was false advertisement
