We have the Dstyle + comes with the convenience pack as standard I believe, auto wipers don't add much given you have to activate them everytime you start the car and they only do intermittent. Otherwise self dipping mirror is good and the folding mirrors are good and give you a visual representation of whether you've locked the car. Does it not also add parking sensors or am I thinking of something else?

Headlamps are headlamps...they are neither good nor bad in my opinion.

I agree with StevenRB45 that the wipers aren't a bonus since you have to activate them every time. I personally don't like the self dimming mirror. Yes, the folding mirrors are great, for parking on narrow streets and as a visual lock check. I think, if £250 is here nor there, I'd have it just for the folding mirrors.

The reason you have to activate them every time you start the car is that if you could leave them permanently on there would be a risk of damage to the blades, or worse, if they were frozen to the windscreen.

Unless they have changed since 2010 they don't just do intermittent.

Power folding mirrors were a must for me, as there's hardly any clearance between our garage doorway & the mirrors if they aren't folded. I don't like the auto-dimming mirror as it tends to dim under conditions, especially on motorways, when I'd prefer it not to. There should be a manual over-ride.

The reason I say they only do intermittent was that I was driving in flood conditions a few days a go and that was all they did to the point I decided to sort it out myself as they clearly weren't going to. Oddly enough our other car has auto wipers and they allow you to leave them on permenantly if you wish. As does every other car I've driven with auto wipers, yes you can tear the blades off if you start the engine with a frozen window, but you can also switch them off before starting the engine. Also the DS3 has no sensitivity control for the rain sensor which again is the 1st time I've seen an automatic system that doesn't have one.

And the standard halogen headlights are absolute shit. Actually think they somehow project a beam of blackness in front of the car instead of light. So I guess they are really anti lights instead of headlights.

I have a dstyle plus and wouldn't be without my folding mirrors, auto lights and wipers the fact that you have to activate the wipers is just the same as normal wipers which you would have to activate if it's raining anyway. With the auto you only touch the stalk once . I would love the xenon lights but not worth the money imo.

There's not a huge amount wrong with the standard lights, HID would be brighter obviously but I've never driven the car and thought "Christ these are dangerous". I would describe them as acceptable, they could be better but they certainly aren't terrible.

Standard lights are okay, they light the road up just fine. I love the new headlights, but wasn't an option on my lease car

I've got halogen lights and they're not very good. Hubby has got Xenon lights on his Volvo and it's like driving in daylight! I'd have them if I had the option. However, I've managed for 30 years with ordinary lights and not had any problems.

They will go on to continuous running if enough water's falling on the windscreen. The only other car I've had with auto wipers was an Alfa 147, which cancelled auto wipers when the ignition was switched off, although annoyingly the switch could still be in the "auto" position. That didn't have any way of changing sensitivity.

They may have the ability to go into continuous but it would appear ours would only do so if I was to drive it into the Tyne. This is why I was looking for a way of changing the sensitivity, an ability my current Mazda has, that the car that the the DS3 replaced had (12 year old Nissan Micra in case you're wondering) and that several other cars I have driven have had. It's a half baked system, although I was surprised there was no way of changing the length of time between intermittent sweeps on the none auto-wiper Citroen's, again something lots of cars have had for a long time.
