  • Data logging

It's 02:30 AM. I'm casually looking through the data logs from the DS3 looking at where the torque limiters kick in.

It got me thinking, does anyone else log the data from theirs or anybody interested in that kind of stuff?

I'm gonna guess that not many owners do that at 2:30am on a school night

Where did you get your data log info from/how do you access it? I`m a novice at this kind of stuff!

          I do

@JEZDS3 You can log your car using Torque Pro App and OBDII Scanner, it can be quite helpful sometimes

          Here's a piece from a random log

And here's a chart... Red is Horsepower, Orange is Throttle Position and Green is Boost Pressure

          Cheers

If you have torque the mobile app and a bluetooth obd2 adapter it's pretty simple.

            Plug obd2 adapter in,

            Connect phone via bluetooth
            Load torque
            Enter info about your vehicle
            Click on logging
Chose which sensors you want to log
            Then start loging
Once logged transfer the log files to Dropbox or something then load to pc.

Open in excel or open office.

            I have a double din android unit in mine so it always displays;
            IAT (intake air temps)
            AFR (Air to Fuel Ratio)
            Boost
            MAF (Mass Air Flow)
            MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure)
            Rev's.

Thats quite interesting because I have a Jamie map on my 115 Diesel and as the car is pulling 400nm of torque under certain conditions it trips the boost valve and the car logs a ABS fault and goes on a strange limp mode .Not total limp but partial
All you do is switch off and the problem resets .

Now Jamie has had the car back and we have played with different maps and they are no where as good as this one so I have decided to run with it .

Now the data log could be an interesting way of finding out why this is happening .................boost spike perhaps

You can easily see possible boost spikes just by looking at your torque curve on your dyno graph as they follow a similar trend when logged.

                    Hi Jamie, happy new year

Is the "400nm of torque under certain conditions " unusually high torque ?

After mapping the graph that was produced peaked at 150 400 and after driving my 110 mapped by Jamie for 2 years this new one of mine really flys

If you just ram the throttle open in 3rd or 4th with a bit of load on sometimes it trips the fault not always which is the strange thing never in 1st or 2nd

Did do it in 6th one day at 80 mph

As said tried another map but it was indifferent so returned to this megga one

Ah ok thanks mate - I'm planning to have mine remapped by Jamie later this year when the warranty expires and I wasn't sure if you had a custom map, a standard map or just a mega map !!
