  • Bullet Thumb Aerial for DS3

    Hi all

    See attached photo.

Has anyone bought one of these bullet thumb aerials yet for their DS3? If so I'd be interested to hear of any changes (good or bad) in radio reception.

It is suppose to be high gain.

Hey HR director, I have the C5 aerial on mine and if I am not mistaken its the same one as that in the image. The reception is good in my opinion and it looks visually stunning.

I think reception varies depending on your location so maybe its better to try it out first.

Yeah I've also got one. I think there is a slight loss of reception quality but all the major radio stations work perfectly. I keep the other aerial in the boot if I ever feel the need to change it.

I agree with you in all of that, but as I only listen to the radio when driving around London, the reception tends to be quite good. My standard aerial is in the loft and im gonna leave it there :P

Well I fitted one to Boo's car and unfortunately the radio signal dropped dramatically - which is a shame. Was unable to pick up BBC 2 or some of the local stations so have decided to put back on the original aerial as it much stronger with picking up reception. Now this may because of the area we live in so what I would suggest to anyone else thinking of getting one is to ask your dealer if you could try the aerial from a C5 VTR+ NAV to check the radio reception in your area.

This is probably old hat but DS3 Club.co.uk has gone global!

What do I mean by that? Well while looking on Google for a review of the high gain Bullet Thumb Aerial (not the cheaper version available from Citroen - or at least I hope it isn't as I've just bought one) I read my own post at the top of this page. More members come on down!

UGH! Bought and fitted this. Looked great but despite it being advertised as high gain reception was really poor so am in the process of getting a refund. I have to say the seller has been really cooperative but this may help others if deciding to buy one.
