  • Rectify or replace.....

    Thoughts on these....

What do others use to try and keep them looking good? I know they are going to get a bit of hammer and not sure if it's worth just replacing them or trying to get them looking better before buying new replacements.

    Cheers

I would leave them be. Would just get scratched up again.

The scuffs/scratches are annoying me though. Was hoping someone had ideas to get them looking better and keeping them that way or have I just got to dream

Get new ones then and before you install them go to e-bay and look up clear car protection film. Buy an appropriate sized piece and cover the metal with it.

Try a bit of SRP on them. Or try some actual metal polish?

Try on a small bit first.

I tried SRP but it didn't make any difference :-( So it is definitely metal then? Autosol Ive been told to try....Think I may get some new ones if that fails

We'll if you're planning on replacing it, it can't hurt to try autosol first. I reckon it's metal yeah but hey don't hold me to that

Ae they are a satin finish you could use fine wet and dry or
                    even wire wool

Surely as the are a brushed satin finish autosol will just make the scratched bits shiny and not brushed finish that they have

Haven't got a clue having never used it before. If it hides the scratches (bought the scratch remover too) then it's a bonus! If not I will replace them if I'm not happy with the outcome

Pop them off and have them wrapped if it bothers you so much
