  • Citroen Assistance Help Please

Had my car for a week now, when I picked it up the breakdown cover wasn't mentioned and I forgot to ask.My wife took it back today to have a small paint chip sorted and I asked her to find out about the Citroen Assistance but the salesman said he had never heard of it??Just wondered if any one has any info they can pass on as it seems my dealer is clueless and I can't really be bothered to go through the hassle of trying to explain it all to him. Thanks

You should find details of Citroen Assist in the service book that came with the car

The info you need is on pages 35,36 & 37 of the Maintenance and Warranty Guide

And the contact number is 08000 727272

Probably because Citroen's current contract is with the AA in the UK

Citroen change the contract regularly. I've had cover from Green Flag, RAC and now AA. Apparently they tender it every so often.

The OP is quite right, the latest Service books have been amended to show the correct way the warranty works and for some reason the Citroen Assistance pages are missing!

Your Sales guy should have given you a contact for for Citroen Assistance, but then he might not have had any left.

If your DS3 is the latest model build and is a DSport then you will have the e-Touch system which gives a in car call button to use.

Citroen Assistance telephone number again is 08000 72 72 72

Yep, tried and tested, the AA is the one set up for the eTouch aswell

Citroen never register your car with the AA unless you breakdown . The numbers mentioned above are for the Citroen call desk at the AA who will sort out any issue. If you happen to have the DS3 D-Sport this will now come with a breakdown assistance button in there which will call the recovery services direct from your car. If you can't find any info on your hand book just let me know and i will email you some documents with all the terms and conditions and telephone numbers. Be aware Citroen assistance will charge for call outs for Punctures and running out of fuel.

Thats true, Citroen don't register customers against the AA because Citroen themselves are the customer to the AA. That mean the cover is vehicle only and not customer based.

I have the number now thanks to all!Stored in my phone, like I said hope I never have to use it.I got to say I find it annoying that my dealer had no idea what I was on about, surely he should know his products inside out,I bet he knows what his commission is on each car he sells!I'm just glad I found this forum far more informative and knowledgeable than my local dealer.Rant over! Thanks again.
