Date & Time resetting on 7 inch screen

Has anyone else had issues on a 65 plate with the new 7" screen when first starting the car the date and time resets to factory date of 2013 and time to 00.00, It only does it sometimes and not that often but if you start the car pretty much straight away it resets and you have to set it again! :confused:

I'd get it into the dealers, will be covered under warranty and might be something as simple as some newer firmware.

I doubt you'll get many responses on here at present considering the age of the vehicle

If you do get it sorted, don't forget to tell us what was done to fix it!

I'd take it back in to the dealer, sounds like a loose connection for the power to me.

It's happened to me a couple of times too. It crashes when turning it on then boots up with 00:00. I just switch auto-sync time and date and it fixes it back to correct time. Let me know if they find there is a fault though

Hi All thanks for the feedback switching on Auto-Sync is a good idea so il give that a go for now until i get it into the dealer!

that only lets it sort the date and time out by itself, not sure if it prevents it happening at all. (as in, you could set auto-sync on and then it happen again and have to re-set auto sync)

Yeah it would just save having to do it manually for now until i get it into the dealer, were do you switch on Auto sync date and time? I have looked through all the settings but cant find it anywhere? I dont have Sat Nav on mine dont know if that makes a difference?...

Without SatNav, I don't think you will have the auto-sync function, as it uses Satellites to function.

It almost sounds like your car is still in transport mode, I take it you have had no issues with the locking?

Nope everything else works fine including locking it just randomly does it every now and again.

It might be worth asking your dealer to check your software to see if it's up to date.

I had this the first time I started it after collecting, changed it and it's been fine since. The satnavs crashed several times causing the whole system to restart, only done this on one journey, also been fine since!

Happened again to me last night so even if you do have the auto sync it doesn't fix it for good. I'll have to get it back in to the dealer

Yeah mine is still resetting as well and i dont have sat nav. Let me know if the dealer fixes it for you?
