  • Space Saver Spare

Hi, I am looking for a space saver wheel for my Dsport, which has 17'' Alloys (205/45 R17). But all I can find are 15''.
I hope this isn't a completely stupid question, but would it be ok to use one of these? Would the extra tyre width make up the difference?
Thanks for any help you can give. The world of space savers and puncture goo is all new to me. As is owning a DS3. (I love it!)

    Welcome!

There's no stupid questions here! - I've asked them all over the years, there's none left.

The 17" are a lower profile, so the radius isn't too far off. I'm sure they only do the one size, its only designed to get you safely home in an emergency and not exceed 50mph whilst driving with one. My 2nd DS3 didn't have one, so I kept hold of my first DS3's space saver. For peace of mind I just prefer having a spare wheel in the boot to reply on rather than goo - which is obviously designed to be use as such. Plus I'd paid for it as an extra, it's mine!
    My DS3R3... nearly....

Thank you so much for that.
I'm the same... I'd rather have some kind of spare.

I have 17" stock rims and T125/80 15" is what is in my boot for a spare from Citroen. So it should be the right one.

I've got a daft question to go with this, i've got a slime kit instead of a space saver which i intend to get, should there be a Jack in the boot whether you have a spare or not? If not should i be buying a DS3 jack with the space saver / do they come with one?

You only get the jack and the other stuff when you get the spare wheel. I think you even do not get the little tool to pull the caps off of the lug bolts when you get the goo

I have that tool and i have the goo so i don't think that's correct. :/ I don't have a jack though. Actually thinking about it i never got a wheel nut key either so i don't think i've got a locking wheel nut on my wheels. I handed mine back without one as well.

The cap tool wasn't sure of the other stuff I am.

Yeah, I only have slime kit too. No Jack.

On my first DS3 I bought the spare wheel kit and the jack was part of the listed items that came with it
