with fuel prices continuing to rise I finally took the decision to get a smaller car. Whilst my 4.3 litre Lexus is a lovely car it's ridiculous putting £120 worth of petrol in every week just pottering around. I thought that I'd look at a couple of economical cars so set off on Monday to visit some dealers. First stop - Honda, to test drive an insight. What a pile of crap! poor spec and even worse build. The engine sounded like it came out of a lawnmower.
Second stop - Citroen to try the DS3. Loved it! I didn't feel squashed in the cabin. Liked the spec and the modern design and decided straight away that I had to have one. Being impulsive I couldn't wait 8-12 weeks to choose my own colour scheme so I took the offer of the only DStyle Hdi 90 that they had in their network. It's going to be Manitoba grey with a carmen roof, mirrors, wheels and dash. Really looking froward to picking it up (hopefully Wednesday). The test drive was in a Sport 110 so I hope I won't be disappointed.
Look forward to being on the forum.
