  • New ds3 question

I just realised that my car won't come with auto folding mirrors or an arm rest.

It's a pre made car in stock and should be here in a a weekish. Would I be able to get these added or is not possible once they leave the factory, I'm going to ring up tomorrow but just wanted to check in case it's just a waste of time.

Arm rest is an easy bolt in, mirrors would be a bit more extensive. Mirrors, switches, wiring?, getting someone to tell the cars computer it now has folding mirrors possibly other bits.

You'll have to fold them yourself

I think this was asked before, ages ago and it worked out expensive - not sure if Mark A did this on his DS3 build ?

Are you practical with cars - I mean can you do the work yourself to keep the cost down ?

If it involves anything more than wheels off or a few screws I don't do it xD

I didn't realise how useful folding mirrors are until I got them - ie being able to see the car is locked.

Anyway, I know it would be a pain but is it possible to physically push them to fold in? You might only need to do it once a day when parked up at home.

              EDIT just read Beefmasta post

I've used them several times in narrow roads so that I can pass another car

Why not speak with your dealer about swapping the order onto something else? You might get the option you are after but maybe not the colour.

Worth a phone call at least.

Rang up at dinner and he thinks there is one left he can get with the mirrors with lights and wipers as well as the arm rest for an extra £10 a month so I've said for him to try and get it...

Hopefully he'll ring me back and let me know 8-)

If it's old stock are you going to get the now discontinued Dstyle + (with Aphrodites the Led lights but old style badging) or is it an optioned up Dstyle? Just if it's the former it'll have been sitting a while.

It's a dstyle nav from old stock. Costs too much for the new faced one.
