  • Fitting Mud Flaps or NOT!

I ordered some mud flaps from John Nicol, excellent service highly recommended, thought it would be a nice quick fit and the fronts were. When it came to the rears however I realised the wheel had to come off and guess what, no jack or brace, borrowed one from a friend, jacked the car up and then realised you need a special tool to remove the nut covers. What a nightmare! Why don't they supply one as standard, what happens when you need new tyres? Will the tyre depot have one or will they try to get them off some other way and risk damaging your alloys.Call to John again next week I think.

The plastic gizmo's for removing the caps is only a couple of quid and I fail to see why Citroen haven't included on with the car...maybe its a weight saving measure.
With the tool the chrome covers come off in a flash

Bit of a strange one. The removal tweezers for mine were hidden away under the footwell panel on the passenger side. They were stuck down with sticky tape :S

Wasn't an option when I bought my White Zak!
How did you manage to get the drill in with the wheel on?

I'm afraid that Zack doesn't realise that "special editions" come As Built and there are No options offered.
Also not all salesmen/dealers realise (or care) that the DS3's come without spare wheels.
