I would suggest they were quite cheap possibly eBay ones and they have stopped working due to that. Flickering is usually a sign on the connections breaking down and the first sign of imminent death l.e.d. death.

    Perhaps buy a better pair?

I have tried some off eBay that don't work at all but these were actually from halfords and I think they were around £12 for two bulbs so that's shouldn't be the problem?

I have also tried them in the sidelights and again they just flash. Is it just likely to be dud bulbs?

My experience of halfords Led is that they are around the same quality as eBay, slightly better perhaps my set of everlasting Led bulbs lasted 4 (summer) months before one started flickering and went off a day later. The fact they originally worked if briefly would say to me that they do work with the electrical system.

Okay that's great, would you suggest looking else where for the Led or revert back to normal ones as this is likely to be a reoccurring problem?

Make sure you are using Canbus error free led bulbs, then this should guarantee they work and don`t flash in error, also I found put in one way they did not work and by turning them on their axis through 180 degrees,i.e changing the polarity they did work.

I have tried spinning them around and this didn't work. Luckily I don't have to do any night driving so I will try some new ones and get them for Monday

Sounds like a plan! Shame your other bulbs were probably duds.

Now it actually appears that I may have a problem with the light unit it's self? I have now tried a standard 501 which also doesn't work on one side.
Anyone know if these are easy to repair or replace?

another turn up this morning. i have had a bit more time to do some investigating and when testing the circuits to on each light. the figures were jumping continuously from 1.8 to 15.6 then back again. so my thinking is that it could be a problem with the earth wiring? has anyone had any experience like this?
