    Hi,

I'm a couple of weeks into DS3 ownership and am enjoying the car. I had a Mini Cooper prior to this (DSport +115HDI, 63reg) I know the cars tend to get compared a lot, but I must admit I do prefer the more comfortable drive in the new car and it seems to be quite a lot bigger inside too.

Anyway, I have got the usual dash rattle most of the time but thats about it really. My question is wheres the best place to get a couple of the glove box rubber bumpers and also one of my plastic covers is missing from the large torx bolt at the bottom seat belt anchor point. Is it best to get them from Citroen or is their an alternative?

    Cheers, Mike.

Thanks very much, I am pleased with the diesel, after learning how to drive one again after 3 years in a petrol!

I must say these owners club forums are great. I had an MR2 roadster for 3 years and the amount of help and useful info available on MR2roc was amazing.

Yes,2000 to 4000 rpm is your best window of opportunity, having said that mine loves 4th gear in that rev range and is remapped to 140bhp! Still economical on a good run though.

Well with the DS3 forum I find it is take away the info you need and have a laugh as well! Just a small part of what the DS3 Club does.

            Hi

I'm also looking to get a DS3 but having trouble finding the right one. It's nice to hear someone coming from a Mini Cooper, I currently have a Mini Cooper and wanted to ask you how does the DS3 compare to the Mini in regards to the bumpy ride? I understand that the DS3 also has sports suspension but surely it's not as bumpy as the Mini?
I'm also looking at getting an automatic as the gear changing in my Mini has given me shoulder problems.

            Thanks for any help

              Hi Karen,

The DS3 is not as firm in the ride as the Mini. I find it much more comfortable on the road. The Mini could be unsettled at times by cats eyes etc but the DS3 is softer although still sporty. I do prefer it. It is also noticeably bigger inside than the Mini too. I have the DSport + which has a great spec, sometimes the Mini's are a bit tight on equipment. I am just hoping that the Citroen is reliable! Other than that I am very happy and I'm sure you would be too. I can't comment on an automatic gearbox.

Take one for a decent test drive would be my advise.

              Mike.

Thanks for that Mike. Yes the DS3 does look bigger, especially the boot! I'll have to take one out for a test drive. You're right about the Mini and their specs, you have to buy all the different packs and options and end up with a £26000 Mini! Mine is a 2004 basic model and I like driving it but after nearly 7 years of ownership it's time for a change, also the condition of our roads the bumpy ride is becoming too much.

                Thanks again
                Karen

Thanks, I try to stay off MR2roc now as it just makes me want another! They are great, fun little cars which are really easy to self maintain and hard to beat for the money.
