  • Rimblades

I'm giving serious consideration to fitting Rimblades to keep the alloys looking their best. Anyone got them on?

I have to choose colour between, black, silver/grey or blue, maybe even a contrasting colour. Each have their merits but you know how it is. What would you go for?

Rimblades!? I would sooner fit Ice Skate blades! I`m not a fan, but if they work and are easily fitted then crack on!

I have got some rim blades fitted currently. Got to say they are okay, easy to fit but I have found that now I have had them on a few months they are starting to peel in a couple of tiny places but nothing major.
All in all not a bad investment would be my verdict!

Yeah I know the alloygators are much better I have had them before on my previous car.
But I know the rim ladies you can pick up quite a bit cheaper and you don't have as much hassle fitting them. But yeah would definitely say they are a lot better

Rimblades, imo, not great. My car had them on for a while, hit kerb a few times, front ns (L drivers driving) ripped off the rimblades and still marked/scraped the alloy. Every time wheel contacted kerb, another mark on wheel. Gave up with them in the end. before my car goes back (end of lease), I'll have it refurbed for about £55.

I had them on mine .
When I had the tyres changed they started to peel.
I had 3 wheels replaced under warranty on Saturday leaving one wheel with a rimblade which left a bitch of residue on .
I won't be putting new ones on .
They don't really protect the rims from kerbing.

That's useful to know, it had crossed my mind about what happens if/when a tyre is removed.

They looked good but no real protection.

So are Alloygators better even though I have heard they are tedious to fit?

They are a pain to fit but they are re usable, don't leave a sticky mess and they are more heavy duty

I'd opt for Alloygators over the blades.

I think they where redesigning something. making an alteration to them. I'll get in touch with them and see if we can get a discount offer. They tend to do this as a one off rather than a continuous offer.

There are also places that will fit them for you.

That would be good, may consider swapping back if there is a decent offer [emoji4]
