Help With Climate Control?

What you have is manual air conditioning. To change to the automatic system would, I think, be a very expensive job as you would need change things on the heater unit, probably a complete new unit - your control uses cables to operate the various settings, the auto system uses servo motors. (I stand to be corrected on this!)

As well as the above (which I can't confirm not having taken a DS3 to bits but is a possibility) climate control has additional interior parts. First you'll have a temperature sensor, not sure where it is in a ds3, the Mazda ones are in the footwells (one a side for dual zone). Also it'll probably have a sunlight sensor which again if similar to the Mazda would be in the little round dome in the dash top near the windscreen. Without a means of monitoring interior temps it'll never work properly if it all.Crystal White pearl Mazda 3 Takuya 1.6
