  • Soon to be new owner - questions!

Hi guys, just joined the forum and ordered a new ds3 150!

Currently got a Lexus is250 but its making my wallet cry for mercy, so looked for something with better running costs but still a bit sporty. Narrowed it down to a few but the ds3 won in all factors - its fast, looks great, built well, and cheap to run and insure compared to rivals.

I've ordered it in white with black roof and wheels, and city signature pack. Not sure of exact delivery date yet was told a worst case of 10-12 weeks. Hope its much less but does anyone know what I should realistically expect?

Also, just wondered - do the sidelights or DRLs come on when u unlock the car? Final question, what do the buttons beneath the radio controls do - I think one has the Citroën logo?

Sorry for all questions but look forward to any replies!

There is a plethora of facts and knowledgeable people here!

But in the mean time, you'll have to put up with me, found a thread: This one is about delivery:

This is buttons are breakdown assitance. And some one will help you on that! I've only got the 120, so missing these!

DRL's will come on with ignition, but only when you turn the key. As far as I am aware. Not sure re your model tough, but thats what mine does . . ..

i asked these questions a few weeks back but to save you the hassle. when the car is unlocked only the indicators flash. i.e. there are no guide you home lights although you can get them to stay on when you lock the car. so maybe there might be an option to turn them on when unlocking too, but someone with citroen knowledge will have to answer that. the sos button calls an emergency line that tells citroen exactly were the car is and sends help, citroen 1 calls breakdown.

I think that you'll find that the interior light gone on as well when unlocking the car

Cars are shipped (by rail I believe) from the factory to a yard in Calais, then by special ferry to Sheerness, 2 or 3 days there then onto a transporter to the dealer...on average 18 days, check it with Biggie when he's next online

@WTF looks like theres two more members with the same colour combo. It is a good choice. Its nice to know the DS3 even has grounds against a Lexus.
