Cruise control

Having owned 2 previous ds3's my latest, cruise control works in 3rd gear whilst the others only 4th and higher gears .Handbook says 4th gear and above 25 mph no mention of it working in 3rd?Anyone else ds3 works in 3rd?

Mine is 25mph in 4th,then higher speeds in 5th and 6th as Revs dictate.

Oddly enough it annoyed me earlier with it following a slow moving bus up a hill at 30 but couldn't select 4th due to the gradient.

Manual says 24mph+ in 4th gear or above, same for both DS3s I've had. Not sure if they changed it in more recent models though.

I'm almost certain mine was 28mph plus with no mention of any gears.
I don't have the car or my revision of the handbook anymore so I can't verify it... I may have completely made this up???

Just having a stab in the dark here, might be 3rd for 5 speed gearbox and 4th for a 6 speed gearbox!!

That's a good shout. I definitely think there's more going on here than the handbook is leading us to believe. In my five speed petrol I'd only be in fourth at 25mph if I knew I was going to accelerate above that speed. Cruising at 25mph the engine would be more comfortable in third.

No mention in my handbook or supplementary handbook that came with car that cruise works below 4th gear also noticed my stop/start only operates when I come to a complete stop ,handbook says below 12 mph .
