    Some good news I think

The fault occurred again this morning so I raced straight to a certified dealership close to where I live and the head
technician witnessed the fault and said its called load shedding.
He sat me down with the after sales director and they advised me to ring the selling dealership and tell them another
dealership has diagnosed the fault and if this doesn't reject the car then they will provide a technician written report.

I have rang them and told them but not provided the helping dealerships name at their request for the moment. They have restored my faith in dealerships. The after sales director at Gateshead will ring me back Tuesday afternoon.

Sounds like good news, hope it works out for you.

Not all dealers are equal, I travelled 400 miles to buy my current DS3 from a dealer I trust.

Gotta say that's a slightly sad indictment of the state of the dealer network...

This particular garage in Gateshead is also a large part of the reason we won't be troubling Citroen for goods again once this car has gone...though if it hadn't been badly made I'd never have found out the dealer was crap..

Let's hope that you are on the road to getting a successful result. If a dealer has experienced such a fault before then it is a great help, but if you are the first to have experienced this, then you are sadly part of the research and development process.
          Good luck and best wishes.

Gosh. Let us know how you get on. Seems like there needs to be some greater monitoring of dealerships. No courtesy car is completely unacceptable in my eyes - been there before.

Well the Hartlepool dealership have provided me with an email stating that the software on the SMEG unit is causing the problems as its 10 versions out of date for the car...

When Springfield returned the car to me they have damaged it behind belief

I will be speaking to them tomorrow and I'm gonna go APE SHIT

Yep...they managed to damage brand new alloy wheels putting tyres on them...

Again awesome garage would recommend to a sadist who enjoys punching themselves in the genitalia.

Now the fault has been found and confirmed by the other dealership Springfield are refusing to reject the vehicle due to the fact the fault is electrical and not mechanical.
The law states the product must be free from faults not pick and choose which fault to reject on.

Deliver the car back to the dealer along with a letter rejecting the car under Consumer Rights 2015, send a copy to the finance company and ask for your money back.
Contact CAB to see if you should continue to pay the finance company.

Start shopping around for a new car.

But the dealer will not accept the rejection or give me my money back.
