  • Got it today - first thoughts

Picked up the car this afternoon. First impression was a slight shock, manitoba grey is more like green in the flesh (so to speak) and doesn't go quite as well as I expected with the carmen roof - oh well, I guess I'll get used to it!

On driving the car (DStyle 90 diesel) I'm pleased with how it goes. I test drove a 110 so I was a bit worried that the 90 would be a slug but it seems to pull quite nicely. I have one slight issue - after starting the car the passenger airbag light stays on for about 2 minutes before going off - is this common? I switched it off and on at the switch but it's still the same.

The dealer gave me a "20% off" accessory voucher so I've just ordered some mats for the cabin and the boot, plus after some indecision I've gone for the chrome rubbing strips.

After filling the tank (I beat them down on price so didn't get much chucked in) I was pleased to see the range go up to 509 miles, something I could only dream of with the Lexus even with almost twice as much fuel in the tank.

Overall, I'm quite pleased and look forward to the next few months getting to know the car.

Well just think your car will be unique...Regarding Airbag Light this is normal telephone man.

Yeah, mine comes on and soon goes off after pulling away!

You might find that by adding the chrome the grey will bear comparisson to the silver and look less 'green'? Not really seen one in the flesh, but thats my arty opinion and suggestion!

Glad pleased so far! Its a fab car! :-D

Thanks for the support guys. A bit embarrassed that I asked a question that was answered in the manual but in my defence the book has taken a back seat to sitting in the car soaking up the "shinyness"!

I saw the Manitoba grey on a C3 in the showroom and I thought it looked a bit greenish.

The "default" grey and red shown in configurator is actually thorium grey.

I went for a mativoire beige and black.

I've ordered Manitoba Grey but with a white roof and Plane Spirit decals. You're right, it does have a green'ish hue in certain light, but a fantastic shade of grey in others!

Thats what we're here for! :-D I'm always asking questions, that are sometimes quite obvious or easily resolved! Mine is shiny again, 2nd clean in 5 days.

No such thing as a daft question. We all expect plug and go nowadays without manuals so no harm done. Just have fun in the car :0)

I was originally going for Manitoba grey/Carmen Red, but after seeing one decided on Thorium grey instead.
