Brake disc covers?

Hi all, just a quick question, doe's anyone know of ds3 brake disc covers? Citroen Derby have told me why car is in for warranty respray , they noticed that my disc's had no protection cover over the back of them. So is an optional extra or a standard part of brake setup? Cheers

Well just had a look and amazed to find the ds has no back plates...


Every day is a school day though you'd think a Citroen dealer would know If they should or shouldn't be there.

Then had a look the Mazda and all 4 discs have back plates..would appear to be another example of Citroen being too cheap to do a proper job.

I think you'll find the rear brake disc covers are fitted but only in very cold countries. I found this on the service.citroen.com website. Why this is the case I haven't a clue!

Given the way the rear brakes love to lock on cold, wet mornings I'm guessing to stop the rear discs freezing solid when snow and road spray has melted on them then the handbrake is used (the entire point of back plates is to keep spray and contaminants off your discs prolonging their life and giving more consistent wet performance).

It's not been an issue for me in three years of the current DS3
