Anyone know how to get rid of squeaky brakes? Had it 3 days and still
Squeaky and has a metal grinding sound as low speed. Checked and there is lots left on all the pads so it's not them grinding on the disks. Also have to really force it into 6th. Oh and a dead bug in the rear 3D light 

You might have a bit of grit between the disc and pad.

Mine sometimes does this after it has been sat for a bit. Does the noise happen all the time? With brakes on or off? Could always give the wheels/pads etc a jet wash to see if it clears something that might be there?

        New or Used?

        Approved or Backyard?

Squeaky or do you mean Squeal?

It's a 62 plate, purchased from the car people in Sheffield. Squeaking has now gone but grinding a lot. Called the garage today and it's going back in next Saturday. Pads have 8mm all round on them so they have said so can't be that

How do the discs actually look? Are they scored or looking OK? Has it stood for a while on the dealers lot and the discs have pitted?

When I picked the Mazda up it ended up having the front and rear brakes cleaned and reassembled and discs skimmed due to having stood for quite a while

Disks all look fine. It's going to the garage next week as problems are mounting. Never had any issues with my other I had about 4 years ago.

Does is happen every time or just the first few times after setting off?
