Newbie with a mirror problem

Hi Everyone, we have had a Red 2013 DSport Cabrio for a year now and suddenly the folding mirrors have stopped folding, no warning, no intermittent fault, just stopped, looked at the other threads on here but haven't found a reason, all the mirror movement and heating is still there but they used to move on locking and with the switch but now nothing. Is there a relay for the mirror fold or is it all software coding?

If you fold manually (press the mirror switch downward while it's in the central position), do they still fold in?

Edit: never mind I see they don't!

Welcome to the club

The folding is controlled by software, the dealer can enable or disable it depending on user preference. Sounds like a fault in your case though, if you're in warranty I'd take it to your dealer to diagnose.

Warranty ran out 30 days ago!!! Maybe try for some goodwill as we have 2 cars from the same dealer, thanks for your advice!

Do they fold in if you use the control on the drivers door to fold them in?
I'm not certain if there is a user configurable option to enable/disable this in the cars settings accessed via the centre panel/radio.

No the option is dealer configurable not on any of the screens you can access

Hi! I've posted this on another thread but before you go shelling out a large garage bill just try replacing the battery in the remote control key fob. Sounds stupid but that's all I've done and my mirror is now miraculously working fine
