Glovebox & Air Conditioning

Hi all, Noticed on the DS3 that the Glovebox has a slot for AC to go into the glovebox if the vent is open but i cant seem to get any air blowing out?

Anyone else had this problem? Tried it on full blast but nothing unless it has to be on a particular setting? Cant find anything in the handbook either. My C4 used to have this feature but that worked fine.

This is so weird popping up as I only found out about the vent yesterday and I've had my ds3 for 2 and a half years lol. Have you tried twisting the wheel while the aircon is on?

^ This, you need to turn the outside of the vent to open it for AC into the glove box. It's great for keeping drinks cool in the summer on long drives

I have already turned the vent to open this is why im asking as mine not does not blow out any air when its fully open?

Silly question possibly - Have you checked if it's blowing air out with both the fans on full? Alternatively with Aircon turned on.

It should blow both hot and cold air.

Yeah checked in on full and with air con on but no joy so ill check behind the glovebox tonight and see if its actually attached to anything!

That would be my next thought too, loose pipework from the blower to the glovebox..

Just a thought do you need do have the air in a certain position I.e. face vents/feet/windows or does it work regardless?

Mine is always on Auto and that goes to the glovebox

I was more thinking along the lines of is cold air supplied regardless of the other heater settings? (so it has its own feed independent of the heating controls). Or if you had it set to say demist with warm air would it either stop or blow warm?

Usually acc systems use the dash vents to cool, footwell to heat and windows for demist so it wouldn't surprise me if it was linked to the dash vents being the ones in use.

Just possibly something to try before OP rips the dash to bits.

I tried all the settings no joy! So ill take a look behind the glovebox and let you all know what i find :confused:
