Well, I did a lot of looking around and finally decided to buy a DS3, mainly because you hardly see any on the roads! I love that.
Anyway, I paid my deposit on 25/03/2011 and I had my email from Citroen on 28/03/2011 saying: "We have placed a factory order for your new car, which will, of course be built to your exact requirements. We'll update you as soon as your car is ready to leave the factory."
The car ordered: Obsidian Black (body & roof) DSport HDi 110
It was a pretty good deal because I got them to include the spare, paint and 3 years servicing in the price.
Problem: I have no patience and I'm getting worried it's going to take a VERY long time. When I looked at the dealer and paid the deposit the salesman was saying things like "6 - 12 Weeks" and this week he's saying the car won't be built until May and was saying like "16 Weeks". Where the hell did the extra month come from and why aren't they doing anything in April?
I've got the worst luck when it comes to buying anything so hopefully there won't be any issues. In case anyone mentions it, I've seen the lead times pdf and the forum posts about delivery times but they still don't give a good idea.
