  • Clutch problem

    Hi all,

    I have just purchased a DS3 DS Stlye (HDI90) 2010.

This morning when driving the clutch pedal went down to the floor and stayed there, it will lift back ok but when pressed again
it stayed down, with the engine running i cannot select a gear but when the engine is off i can select 1st and turn the starter and
drive away, there is no clutch slip and the car drives fine.

No fluid under the car, feels like a master cylinder of slave cylinder problem, levels are where they are supposed to be.

    Any ideas. ??.

    Dez.

Gotta agree with Kev, that sounds dangerous!
Did you get it from a dealer or private?

It came from a non Citroen dealer with a 3 month AA warranty and full AA inspection but when i phoned the claim line this morning they were closed until Monday morning...

What type of warranty only works on a Mon - Fri basis. ???.

Cost me £80.00 to get towed 3 miles home, had it a total of 8 days.

If it is the master slave cylinder, it will almost be impossible to change gear. Had this issue on my Ford Puma before I got a DS3. The master slave cylinder had split. Definitely take it back to garage.

At present i am trying to get the garage to collect the car and repair (with limited success)

If no joy by close of play tonight i will be exercising my right to cancel as i have only had for 9 days, i really like the car
and hope the repair can be carried out... but breakdown politics..... Jesus...

Which do you mean, the master cylinder or the slave cylinder?
