My approach to him right now would be along the lines of:

Whose interests is he there to serve - his or yours?

Which I'm severely tempted to do! But before I do, I need to know if I'm entitled to a refund on the £250 deposit I put down? I'm within the 14 day cooling off period.

I don't think I fully understand your issue if I'm honest.

I can see the salesman is pushy and very keen to get the deal done asap (a lot are, it's their job).... Do you have any concerns about the car or the current deal or is it because you dislike the salesman ?

If this is the way that dealership carries on before purchasing a vehicle I would hate to think what the after sales would be like.

Update: we walked away from the deal. I really wasnt happy with the sales tactics they used and I just didnt feel like I was getting a goid deal out of them
