  • Carbon wrapping, opinions?

    Hi All,

im toying with the idea of having some exterior parts wrapped in a carbon fibre effect wrap, it seems to be a popular mod, i was thinking of having the following done:
    • Roof
    • Spoiler
    • Wing mirrors
    • Baguettes
    • Diffuser (if i can find a place that will do the diffuser for me as some are saying it cant be done as the vinyl wont stick?)

The problem im having is that i have a black DS3 Dsport and im not sure if the carbon effect + the black paint + Black wheels will be too much as the chrome sort of breaks things up a bit, im also rubbish at photoshopping so i havent got an example to show.

what do you guys think?, leave some bits chrome, carbon effect the lot or none at all ? any pics you can provide would also be very welcome

    cheers,

    steve

I have been having the same problem, I'm not a very big fan of chrome but I have to say it looks nice on the DS and I'm not sure I want to remove it.
I'm thinking of going with orange carbon front and rear badges, roof and spoiler and front fog surrounds and leave the mirrors, baguettes and front grille chrome. My DS is black with orange roof already.

have a look at these, I only did them with paint but it gives you an idea

Yeah that looks pretty cool similar to the racing with the orange, I think the way forward is to start with the roof as I'm sure I'm going to have that done and the spoiler, and then see how I like it and then do the rest gradually if I think it looks nice, I'm more curious to see what people think of a black car with carbon everywhere, it may be abit OTT to rid the DS of all the chrome (e.g grille, rear number plate trim etc...)

I'm doing all chrome on outside of my car black, then all chrome inside carbon, with the dash wrapped in black camo.

thats pretty cool although IMO the chrome baguettes break the side of the car up a bit so i wont be doing those ill keep them chrome, i do like the wrapped grille though that looks badass :P ive booked mine in on friday so when its done i'll post a few pics

also while im here, the trim around the "Eco" buttons and the storage area to the right of the steering wheel has come loose somehow, any idea how i can re-fit this? the clips dont look broken but they are not clicking into place when i push the trim back on :S

Which bit sorry? With most things on the car it will just clip back, BUT it may be worth taking off fully to clip back on if that is possible? Just so you know it is aligned correctly from the starting point and it should all then clip into place

With the help of this portal, you will come to know more options and suggestions for carbon wrapping. In other words, the essay writing services australia is there to tell the workers how to deal with it very energetically.
