  • Is this a good deal?!

Hi guys, so there's already another thread about the issues I'm having with my dealer about a new (2nd hand) DS3 we're looking to buy. I won't go into the problems we've had as it's in the other thread, but I just want to see whether people think this is a good deal before we sign.

It's a '13 plate DSport+ with 6,100 miles on the clock and FSH:

    Cash Price: £10,599
Monthly Price: £191.00 for 48 months (7.9% APR) on a PCP with a final balloon payment of £4,100
Deposit: £250 to be refunded when we collect the car
36 month warranty with Citroen Assist included
Full service before we collect it.

The dealer has put me off with his pressure tactics to be honest, so if this isn't a good deal I'm inclined to go in on Sat and try to re-negotiate.

    Pointless post really.

What do you think? That is all that matters.

I'm happy with the deal I'm just not happy with the salesman, I feel thoroughly beaten up!

If I were to walk away would I be entitled to my £250 deposit back? I'm within the 14 day cooling off period.

Doesn't seem too bad then when factoring in the 3 year warranty.

I don't understand the question Personally had bad experience with both on multiple occasions.

Arnold only puts cars to minimum MOT standards which is different to fully approved so price can't be factored like that really.

Then are you getting the same HP rate, etc, etc.

As I said a "good deal" is nothing to do with what others think but what you feel yourself.

Quite simply, in a discussion about dealers, was your remark referring to Citroen dealers or Citroen in general. A lot of people seem to confuse the two - how often do you see "I took it back to Citroen" when they actually mean the dealer?

I know exactly what you meant Dave and often see the same posted.

To me though there isn't a distinguishing factor to it. If I bought a burger from McDonalds in Manchester, I wouldn't specify which McDonalds in particular if I was writing a review about the burger.

Citroen dealers should leave you with the same experience regardless of which one you go to, that's what being part of a franchise means - Sharing the same core values and principles. If you have one man letting the team down though, the company as a whole should accept the burden of this for not enforcing their values.
