Me too, I always make sure the stick gets a good wiggle.

Agreed, a 'pre-wiggle' ensures the stick is in the right place before you turn her on and get started

are you by any chance driving the golf mk7? If so I feel your pain with the front assist. AlMost ca used a crash the first day I had the car! Also didn't like the clutch to start routine.

Yes- and that cruise control actually feels like the brake is being applied when your not touching any pedal. Then you try to accelerate and it wont. Horrible.

Glas I went for base spec, as too many other gadgets and would have sent it back
