Air Con Question

Hello - this is probably nothing, but I've had my air con on today with the aircoming out of the centre vents and the centre vents facing down.

I've just parked my car up and noticed a bit water/condensation around the centre vents on the piano black dashboard.

It's been around 30 degrees today, so I'm assuming it's only the ice cold air hitting the very warm dash and turning to water.

Or is it????

Sounds very much like that. What temp setting did you have the AC on?

It was on the lowest setting ...

I would say so too. I've noticed this in my car once or twice, and on really warm days at home, our air conditioning unit has condensation/water droplets on it round the top of the vents.

Yes OP you are right in saying that the change in temp is causing the droplets. Nothing to panic about

As I got in my car it said 28 degrees yesterday and when I put the air con to 17 on auto, I swear I saw a brief swirl of mist come out of the centre vent!

You must have the special "80s" pack fitted which pumps the car with dry ice for that authentic retro feel

Tbf could be worse...my dads old 307 (which a DS3 shares several parts with despite the former being built in 2001..) had A/C back that would literally freeze the inside of the window glass..
