My car was parked in the street at home. Some idiot came from the opposite side, started sliding and hit my car full on. He was probably speeding because the speed limit is only 50km/h (30mph). Luckily he had the decency not to run from the accident!

The entire left side is dented, the right rear is gone too because of the pole my car slid into, bonnet is crooked,... Fuel was gone, so some things wrong under the bonnet too.. Don't know if the chassis is hit.

Only had my car back for 3 months since they replaced the engine (which took 4 months too sort out). Not a good car year for me.
If it's a total loss (highly likely according to the guy who came to transport the car), hopefully I get enough money to at the very least pay the remainder of the loan.

I might have lost my precious little car yesterday..

Although I love(d) my DS3 to bits, I won't be getting another one, as I've lost complete faith in the THP engine. If you think about the troubles I've had with it, I guess you can understand my point of view.
First I'll have to wait and see what the verdict will be, and if it's a total loss, wait to see what I still get for it. Then I can decide how much I can afford to spend on a new car. (a Clio RS or a 595 Competizione have been on my radar in past months, but they're not cheap!)

For now, thx for your sympathy, all of you!

Can definitely sympathise with that! It's a shame after all the effort you had to go through. Well the R.S 16 Clio is out soon! Megane 275 engine and manual gear box! (and those front lights....)

Wait, so if the Clio is getting the RS Megane engine.... What kind of monster will the new RS Megane be?! :O

Unfortunately the RS 16 Clio will be waaaaaaaay above my budget. But that is indeed an awesome car! Getting rid of the flappy-paddle gearbox alone is a major improvement

I'm not sure, you know. I quite like the EDC gearbox, not that I've driven it before though.

It's just a shame that the liquid yellow paint is a £1,300 optional extra!

Just received news it's an economic total loss. No word yet on what I will get for it.

So this is where my DS3 story will end. Yeeeears earlier than I imagined! So sad. Despite all the problems, I really loved that car.
But that doesn't mean I'll disappear from the forum just yet. The past 4 years it has become a pleasant habit to check for new posts here every day (yes, even before I took delivery of the car). And old habbits die hard
This is really one of -if not THE- nicest/best clubs out there. I'll be very lucky to come across another club as good as you guys, whatever my next car may be..

tl;dr my car is a goner, not me and many congratulations to all involved in running such a nice, great club/forum here!
