So just looking for some confirmaion to my issue.
Car is Dsport 1.6 110 diesel, 86000 miles at present.
Yesterday while driving i got a message on the display " Anti Pollution system failier " then another ding and engine light comes
on then another ding and esp light comes on, during this loss of power, cant drive over 30mph.
I put her on my diagnostic and got a error code P0087 " Fuel rail/system pressure - too low "
So i have have had a good read and come to the conclution that first port of call is to change the fuel filter, cheapest option ! then if no better High pressure fuel pump.
Would anyone agree with this ??
Also to add to this, i reset the system and all lighs and warnings gone, but as soon as i get to 3000rpm they all come back so makes me think lack of fuel ????
Would also like to add that the day before i filled her up to the top with fuel, at the time i was out the only place i could find to fill was Sainsburys so
am now also thinking maybe fuel contamination ?????? i dont like filling up at this type of station and useully only use good quality fuel like Shell or Esso etc etc.
