Hi All,

Problem!!! Today I go to start car and when dials reset to low I turn ignition and everything goes off, fob doesn't work either, all lights dials absolutely everything goes off like it's the battery but then after 5 minutes I can start it and everything is back to usual, a warning come up on the centre screen and went off, it said e something valve, need some help as it passed MOT on Friday without any advisories it's the 1.6 HDI black white edition.

If you can catch exactly what the warning message on the centre screen is then that might help us diagnosing your problem.

I assume you put the key in, turn and hold to start all in one go? Your description sounds like you put the electrics on and then start it after. Battery might have drained in the garage and needs a long drive to recharge. But still, getting that warning message would help a lot.

Given its suddenly cold I'd imagine you would be best starting simple with the battery. The warning may be a red herring caused by low voltage triggering random warnings.

Yes if left to recover it works but it could just be marginal so sometimes it generates enough other times not.

First thing first, the MOT is just a check to see if the car is roadworthy, nothing more.

What you are describing sounds like a fault with either the ignition or starter motor but my first stop would be with the battery, if possible can you please photo the message of video what happens?
