  • DeCat or high flow cat?

I've been smashing in the over time at work so I can buy some car parts and I cant decide between a decat or a high flow cat.

If I get a decat I can afford to buy that and a forge recirc valve then ill just need a walnut clean then I will get a date sorted with Jamie for a remap in the not too distant future. I know a de cat will make me fail my mot but I have the space to change it every year so I will pass, I also don't want my car to be too loud because I have an annoying neighbour who like to complain, he already gives me a dirty look for my exhaust.

If I get a high flow cat it will be less hassle but im not sure how much quieter it is and it will put me back another few months on getting my remap.

What does everyone recommend and what are their experiences with high flow cats and decats?

With that money you could probably afford to buy my decat second hand and with your extra money you could then buy even more car bits!

If you are happy to change the cat out before each MOT, may as well take Fish's one above. It will probably make it louder though since there's less restriction
