    Hi

What experience have you all had in getting insurance quotes for your DS3?

A couple of insurers that I have checked seem to be way high.

Hi there. Lowest quote i have received is £368. Thats for the Dstyle. Thats the quote ive been given even though i dont have the car yet.

Admiral seemed to come out well, but only through 'comparethemarket' - when going directly, it was much more.
For DSport petrol, annual, 6yrs NCD + 1 other named driver, fully comp with NCD protection,e tc was just under £300... through admiral direct it was another 70-odd quid, so not sure how that works!
The other one that came out 'cheap' was elephant - also through compare the market.

I was quoted £403 from admiral for a DSport petrol with 4 years no claims and another named driver (older than me) and i thought that was pretty good seeing as im 23! Thats on a multicar policy by the way, i think it was about £50 more on its own.

Also got my best deal with Admiral by going direct armed with the quote from Confused.com and moneysupermarket.com.

            Paying around £350.

            Cheers

I found the THP to be very reasonable to insure. I have 11 years no claims, Legal Assistance,Courtesy Car,Windscreen Cover,Personal Accident,Protected NCB etc and the quote was for £330 with Admiral. In comparison my C4 VTS HDi is £550........ The only thing holding me back from ordering one is the fuel economy but I really liked the performance!!

                Fuel Economy

I have the DSport 150 Thp,Fuel economy is good

Covered 1000 Miles so far, checked trip computer,Getting 40mpg average 37mph.

Didn't think i would use GEI (Gear efficiency Indicator) but this warning really makes you think about fuel economy.

Thanks for the info - am surprised the mpg so good as my old C2 VTS never got above 35 mpg around town and 45 on a run. Didn't thrash it either! I guess that's progress for you.

Admiral / Bell / Elephant currently seem to be the best this year, if you can add named 'other' driver you can get it a bit cheaper, I am on 183.20 this year, but I do have 45 years with no claims or convictions. Mine is a Dstyle auto.

Excited , getting a new white/black top on Sat.
Citrioen offered me to pay out £600+ for their Insurance.
I will take the forum's advice and try Admiral and others via Moneysupermarket
                      Cheers
