My poor car... Don't think this will polish out!

Just thought I'd share my pain with you all. An elderly gent went into the side of my beloved car..!

Just when things were looking good and the car was running great.

Fingers crossed it will be an easy repair

Hi all

I'm fully covered and the other party are liable for the accident.

Getting it picked up Tuesday so we'll see what needs to be done.

Do you guys think it's an awkward repair then? Hopefully not a write off (30,000 miles, 2014 plate)

Might need a new rear quarter panel. The door damage will likely be an easier fix though.

Sucks though as you'll lose your car for a few days

I don't think it will be a write off but it will take a lot of work to get the sidewall straight and smooth again.

Thanks both, I will be having a hire car so they can get on with it.

I will be asking for a new panel (don't want that filled or minimal filling)

This will be my third fix and third courtesy car in a year. I think this car is jinxed!

I wouldn'tve thought it was a write off, but it will cost the old boys insurance company a couple of quid. At least you are covered and he has admitted liability.
