  • Horn ;)

    Has anyone tried changing the horn on the DS3? The standard one is PATHETIC!!.... I am embarrased to use it!

      It's a weedy little beep, isn't it.

      Oh for some Maserati air horns. Can it be done without b*ggering up the electronics?

        Well my 2002 Mini had a well mean horn.. might fit one its just a 2 pin plug

                  Snails are a bit quieter than what I had in mind. You have to bend down real close to hear them, and then it's only a kind of squelchy sound.

                    Stebel nautilus is the one - comes with a relay to protect the horn circuit

                    Just google it you'll find supplier and a wav file - sounds like a US freight train

                    Bought one for me Vespa but may well fit it to Deesse instead

                          Snail horns...........named because of shape & 120dB is hardly quiet.
                          Advantage of straightforward electric horns over air horns is that they are instantaneous, no lag while the compressor winds up.
