  • DS3 Roof Bars

Quick question.. The missus has now decided she wants to get a bike which means my method of putting the seats down and sticking mine in the back is no good for two bikes. I've got a Thule roof rack from my old car but it doesn't fit on the DS3 unfortunately.

Has anyone got the part number for the replacement roof trims to fit the bars to? I've got 9416G9 but it doesn't seem to come back with anything. I've found the actual bars themselves OK.

    Cheers!

    Sorry, what do you want?

You'll only actually need the transverse roof bars to actually use a roof rack. They lock into anchor points already on the car so you don't actually need the trims - just for aesthetics.

Apart from that, you can get the replacement rail gutter covers, but they aren't actually needed for you to run the roof bars. That is the part code though, 9416G9 with 9416G2 being the roof bars.

you can also get the locking covers for the transverse roof bars (which I believe come with the bars)

Ah I see.. Didn't realise that! It does look a bit crap without the trims on though. Is the 9416G9 part a replacement trim that works with the roof bars so it doesn't look as bad when the bars are on?

Yeah I'm pretty sure it is. I'll double check when I get home.

It's literally just a black plastic strip which has the access flap for the anchor that you put on instead of the colour coded ones.

Thanks! I found some proper pics online so I've worked out how it goes now. I think I definitely want to find the trims too, they finish it off when the bars are on, but at least I'll be able to buy the bars and use them in the mean time.

I did spot that but it's about a 300 mile round trip, however I was thinking about booking into SPTuning for a walnut blast next month and it's not far from them but doubt they'll be on there in a month.

I've phoned the Citroen dealer near me and they can get some trims ordered in. About £40 so not too bad, just need to stop in one day and get them ordered.

Thanks for the offer, was hoping to get it sorted before the summer though.
