Air conditioning, works better than I thought.

Just had my air con recharged; it had been cold but a bit inconsistent, plus as the car is new to me I didn't know any history of the aircon system.

It now can go down to 3.7 'C... Pretty cold, useful incase my fridge breaks as I can just put my milk in the car... 🙈 😉 👍 lol

Didn't realise car air con systems would go that low (not owned a car with working a/c before...).

I can imagine, I've quickly gotten used to having ac on in the car... Don't realise how well its working, until you step back out and the heat (and humidity!) hits you... 🙈 ❄ ☀ lol

I just set my to auto and leave it... The computer can then play with the settings 👍 🙈 lol

My auto setting just whacks the whole thing up to full and if I try and slow it down, it turns the auto off! Is that normal?

Yep, it will stay on high fan speed until it reaches the temp you have selected, then it will slow down. If you change the fan speed manually, it will turn it off Auto.

Aaaaaaaaah. I always wondered how it worked. Could never figure it out. So it's me and not the auto function not working properly!!! Thanks for clearing that up Beefy.

Just set it to a higher temperature... Apart from the first 30 seconds, mine only stays full whack if I set it really low ❄ 18.5 works well for me when it's warm.

If your car is an oven when you first get in, open the windows and get rid of the extra heat first. Gives your ac a better chance of working well.

Ac works by removing the heat from the air, not by pumping in cold. So if it is really hot inside, the ac has to work harder at the off.

So does everyone use the Auto/AC setting no matter what temperature you use? Does that not use the gas up really quickly?
