    Hello,

Has anyone experienced or actually used a site "NewCitroenDeals" to get their car?

I don't wanna post the link direct in case I'm accused of advertising, but you can find it on google easily..

The prices he's quoting seem too good to be true, he claims all dealings are done through a genuine uk Citroen Dealership..

So how can the prices be so cheap?

    Thanks
    Chris

All that dealer is doing is throwing away bonus money they don't have and keeping the margin.

Any dealer, if prepared to, can match this.

Thanks for the info Biggie, you must hate people like me who don't wanna pay the showroom price but we're just kinda trying to get a good deal!
Do you think if I showed the dealer a quote they'd be happy to come in a price say £5-£10 above the quote so they still get an amount of bonus? I say this because I'd much rather deal direct with a garage

Thats going to depend on your local dealer, the £1200 discount is based on the supplying dealer achieving over 120% of his target. Very easy for the big boys but for smaller agents, like me for example, more tricky as if we miss then the dealer with lose out big time.

Yeah from what I've read on the forums biggie seems very trustworthy & honest and I trust what he says

Hopefully my local dealer will be negotiable with his price so we both end up happy!

Best advice is ask for your dealer to give up his 5% margin (worked off basic price) and let him keep his £400 Brand Standards if you are looking at a no PX deal. That way you get a good deal, the dealer won't feel shafted and the sales guy earns enough to buy a bag of chips!

Thanks for the info once again!

I'd be looking to trade in my current car which is currently on finance and has about £1000 negative equity- would it be better for the dealer (bonus wise) that I am PXing?

Well it would make more sense for the dealer to use his 5% to off set your PX and draw you neg-Eq down. That would mean you would less to 'rollover' onto the new agreement, long long was your finance for and was it HP or Personal loan?

For the DS3 we were looking at elect3 over 36months at 10k miles per year.

Our current car is on a passport scheme with Peugeot with about 14months to go

Okay I see, just curious thats all. Important thing for you is to get the gap closed as best as you can on the Neg-Eq so you don't end up paying too much extra interest on it.

Also any proposal your dealer puts forward make sure they note that your old agreement is to be settled in case it goes to underwriter.

someone used newcitroendeals on here, they put you in touch with a dealer in Derby, He was very happy and all went smoothly!,. I almost went with them and spoke direct to the dealer, they seemed very professional and nice. but eventually I went elsewhere in the end cos i got it even cheaper. you must try to get the ds3 as cheap as you can bearing in mind the px price also. If you are in neg equity you need to be even more careful and do whats best for you!
Biggy has given you some sound advice, its up to you but do your homework

What I think I might do is mention the price I've been quoted from NewCitroenDeals to my local dealer, and see what my dealer can offer. he probably won't be happy about cutting into bonuses but I would be silly to accept paying an extra £50p/m to what I could be paying.

I'll have to make sure it's down in writing about the PX as well, because I don't wanna be paying £500 to order the car and then they go back on their word when it's delivered & they put the payments up

As suspected the dealer wasn't prepared to come close to that price, and what he's coming up with is about £40 more per month.. I'll wait and see what the dealer who NewCitroenDeals points me to comes up with as the £280 previously quoted is just an estimate
