          Hello All
just joined as I have a problem with my DS3 and it may help others with the same issue
          @ harleyrider & Velma91
ok my car did exactly the same as you guys only the Citroen mechanic tells me its the Core plug in the engine which has caused the engine to fail which others would say its the head gasket (its a fault with engine ) BMW engine in ds3 car
so the coil plug lets the coolant through to the engine now this is made of aluminium & the engine metal so when they get hot they expand at different temps thus making the
plug go out of shape which means your coolant ended up in the engine with oil and when you add water obviously coz its empty all your doing is pouring water straight into
engine and breaking the whole lot
Now I was told by the Citroen mechanic that they know of this problem (CUK) and should either give you a new engine or pay 50/50 with you or flat line say no giving you
nothing (which you then go down the route of contacting CUK main people yourself and say you have taken legal advice ) I'm still waiting the out come of my decision all documents for the mechanic have been handed
          over to CUK
this effect models upto 2012 I think ....after this they made a mod on the engine which is they put an extra band over the top of the core plug to hold it in place
so if this happen to others now you know
also if you research replacement engine for the ds3 you only find them from 2010/2012 so don't get stung with another coz it will do the same
my car is on 62 plate and went bump at 56k on the clock so if you getting close to that check your coolant it could be empty

PS the coil plug sits close to the engine you cant see it unless you take off the top cover off but then my engine was covered in coffee sludge so hard to say if its inside or outside ..its about as big as a milk bottle top just looking for a picture to put on this thread
cheers all anyone else with this issue let us know
Please for give me if the description is not spot on
