Finally got my white edition - thanks to CARFILE!!!!

Well finally got my white edition from a dealer in Birmingham, bought it through CARFILE via the net. Got to say that Jonathan at CARFILE was excellent at putting me in touch with the dealer and is a top bloke. All has gone smoothly with the dealer and I saved myself £1500 in the process.
Only drove it a 100 miles so far but it is a lovely car and I am very happy. Maybe one of the last whites delivered? I am now an official member of the white brigade lol
Will get some pics up when i get back home to lincoln.

I also ordered mine via carfile! I too was quite impressed with their service and the local dealer couldn't come close to matching the price! I take it everything went smoothly at Birmingham when you went for pick up!?

yup everything was great, the dealer picked me up at the train station as i had sold my other car privately, really nice, friendly and helpful, would defo recommend

carfile is an internet broker who puts you in contact with a main dealer but doesnt charge you anything, they charge the dealer. They offer big discounts on most brands and you get the same service as you would normally cos you are still buying from a main franchised dealer. The citroen dealer is in Birmingham. If you do go through them mention this site to Jonathan he already has sold two ds3's to people on herre i believe?

One word of caution...having looked at the Carfile site the models they list don't seem to be current.

Each to their own. The max our dearler was willing to do was free paint. Car file gave a much heaftier discount. I'd drive to cornwall if it meant an extra grand saving!

With the site, their models may not be upto date (not sure) but I think it's more to give you an idea. My order then got properly sorted out with the dealer and price confirmed. The sites more to give you an idea.

It is each to their own though. There's a lot to be said for buying it from your local dealer and having that comfort! I was quite surprised mine wasn't in any way willing to match the price (surely if one guy is offering at that price - others would be able to?!) but I'm not knowledgeable about the way varous different bonuses work, which I assume what it comes down to.

I don't want to get suck into this again, but it all comes down to volume size of the dealer, ASP 600 dealers are always going to blow ASP 150 dealers out of thw water.

Think of it as your local food shop and Tescos.
