  • Just seen my first OK - reserving judgement!

Picked my son up from cricket practice yesterday and when I parked up I spotted an OK DS3. The black and white roof combo looked good - but am reserving my thoughts on the gold wing mirrors, leafy pattern on the roof and the gold interior. In my teenagers words - "glad you didn't get one of them, wouldn't be seen dead in it" - perhaps thats one way of getting out of being a taxi service! - Orla Kiely - pimp my DS3!!!

Hannah and I saw one a few weeks ago in West London Citroen, all black with the leaves on the roof, looked OK tbh, seen worse cars.

Currently considering one of them, and we're in the same boat of being undecided. Leather interior is excellent though.

Theres a heap of them left, CUK is trying to get us dealers to registered them as demos in order to clear the stocks.

Bigfeet, is there likely to be a deal done on them then do you think?

Seen a couple of grey ones online at around £14,500/15,000 which look like ex-demos. Either one of those or a White I think is where we are going to end up

Saw a white/orange on Thursday. The exterior was alright but the interior was a bit messy and the brown dash imo was a big no. Not a nice brown.

No, the dash is a bit of a disaster but can easily be sorted. I'm taking mine back next week to have dash changed and chrome trims on the doors.

I must say when I first saw the DS3 OK I thought WTF ! but after driving one and putting it with the others it looks great, different and stands out.
It comes with many extras and at a decent price being a special it should have good residule value too.
I have heard that citroen can't get rid of them but they are like that with most big batches of cars to be fair, most models are made at a steady rate and flow nicely through the factory and to their owners but when a special version is built, they make quite a few at once and they sit there for a while as the flow isnt as fast.
I've worked for Nissan, Citroen, Fiat, Suzuki, Honda and a little of VW. they all have diferent ways of working and every once in a while have cars sitting around for a bit.

I bet they still have a batch of C3 Pluriels sitting about somewhere lol !
Vw had a load of sandy gold cars sitting about when I was there.

And who would buy a brown special eddition car?

I think the Orla kiely DS3 has character and style and though it is not everyones cup of tea, it is a liked combo and will sell.

My brother once bought a Snowboard with a picture of a steaming turd on it ! said it looked cool....

They're not my cuppa tea but I'm just curious

Not doubting the drive.......... it is after all a DS3 and the drive is superb.
Just airing an opinion that the interior looks messy with multi coloured head rests/carpets and the kack brown dash in the one I saw.
I'm not surprised that they are not selling well and think that Citroen should have gone with the more stylish, subtle YSL.
Having said that, each to his/her own. And I traded my Pluriel for the DS3, Pluriel sold in 3 days so they sell, the buyer came fom France to buy!

And as the old saying goes................................you can't polish a turd!

Not a fan of the brown dash, but like the cream one and I think the headrests are quirky and look good
