Got the call I have been waiting for, Dealer says car is on its way and should be here next Weds, hoping to pick up a week tomorrow. That will be just under 6 weeks from deposit to empty bank account! Can any one beat under 6 weeks factory build? Belle Ile Blue, fully loaded THP. Cannot believe it, can I.............yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fresh factory order, got the letter from Linda, order number, the full nine! This is fresher than a Frenchy croissant at 0730hrs at Rue De Paris. it is so fresh the Brie and Charcuterie Baguette prepared by Jean Claudes wife Marie (Jean Claude is the guy who signs the despatch paperwork) there is still a half baguette left, he ain't eaten it all yet. Man that car is so fresh the odour coming off the paint can still be picked up by a 3 legged Yorkshire terrier out for walkies (well limpies) in Dover.

I am talking fresh here Zack, do you get the feeling I am a happy girl.............

150 THP leather, the cream stuff. My way, city upgrade. Paper work defo says factory order with order number from Citroën UK. Dealer is honest and a good friend of neighbour. Islington Trowbridge

Sorry to sound dis-believing but I've worked with Citroen for long enough now and if your dealer did indeed place the order then that is very unusually quick. Every vehicle that comes from Citroen has an order number, it's how they tracked through the system regardless of who owns the order.

Well, I hear what you are saying. He did assure us that is was a factory order, it states it clearly on the invoice. If I find out I have been lied to it is the last Citroen we will ever buy. It was in good faith, a good friend of a friend who tried to secure one from UK stock but could not as there were none available. I even had dealings with Citroen Supermarket who again confirmed it would have to be a factory order.

Here is a copy of the letter from Citroen UK: Order No 2114***

Dear Mrs G***,

I am writing to personally thank you for ordering a brand new Citroën DS3 THP 150 in Belle-ile Blue / Opale White.

We have placed a factory order for your new car, which will, of course be built to your exact requirements. We'll update you as soon as your car is ready to leave the factory.

In the meantime, if you would like any further information don't hesitate to contact.

That sounds to me like it is a factory order, or could we construe that the factory order was placed last November and by chance it was already built to our exact requirements and the fact that it left the factory in December last year allows them some 'wriggle room' on honesty.

just for some reassurance that its a factory order... the last 3 DS3's we've had all came within 6 weeks! Regardless of spec and options. Citroen have pulled their finger out... kinda, just dont expect it to last haha

Yeah, by what our dealer is telling us it could be 5 and a half to 6 weeks from order until delivery for us..

Quite surprised but I'm not getting too excited til we get the keys
