  • Elect 3 monthly payment negotiation

Hi, Thanks all for replying to my previous post. helped alot

I currently have a quote of £285 monthyl payment for a 3 year lease for a Dsport plus 150 (standard colours). I was wondering is there any negotitation with monthly lease payments price? can it be negoatiated lower or are they a set value on elect 3?. can Free servicing for the 3 years be negoatiated into the price instead of the 199 playment?

    Many Thanks

PS ive been advised that the £1500 contribution from citroen stops on 30 june? does anyone know if there will be any offers for july? n what they are?

    Thanks Very much!

£285 seems reasonable, does that include a PX / Deposit?

The elect3 is negotiable but that depends on the specific dealer and what they're willing to do

      Thanks for the quick reply.

The 285 is on a 36 month contract. with 8k/pa miles.

The deposit is 800 from me and 1500 from the citroen scheme so £2300.

Do u think it would be impossible to get the payment down to £270 p/m and get them to throw in the £199 servicing, as 285 was his first offer without much discussion, Many thanks again

i could of had a dsport 110 for £204 or £220 with the city pack.

but that was with my mini as part ex(£3k)

        so it sounds alright.

but i went for a white edition and paying £200 a month

I think it would probably be a push to get both just straight from asking. It's a touchy subject as I know there are a few dealers on the forum but I think your best bet would be to get in touch with another dealer, say "this guy has offered me x y z, what can you offer?" and then you could go back to your own dealer with what the new guy has offered. Most dealers have sitting on their desk a little notice saying they'll match/beat any other genuine quotes.

Getting quotes from separate dealers is a good way to get your foot in the door and a good way to see why kinda deal you can get.

I am getting my new one with the Citroen contribution towards a new dsport plus.

I have been quoted £306 p/m. With £1k down. Including vri.

This is £4 less than what I was spending on my March '10 lesser spec black dsport with leather on elect4 which is a 4 year lease..

What spec is the dsport for £285?

Yeah so we are both paying the same virtually. They all sing off the same hymn sheet.

The extra £1000 equates to about £27 less a month.

They all seem to work on identical residual values, so at the risk of stating the obvious the best way to get the monthly price down is to negotiate a discount (hooray!), which you might be able to do, or of course put in a bigger deposit (boo!). Also have a look at a two year deal. Because the final value will be higher, you might find the monthly payments are lower. They were for me anyway - and so was the 'total payable' if I buy at the end because over 2 years there's less interest.

best way to work it out is... £15 x 36 months = £540... thats how much discount your after mate. there might be a dealer that would do it... as for the offers in july, most of the time we find out on the last day of the month very close the end of play... obvious reasons. hope this helps
Don't sell Citroen's anymore... so cheap digs are unnecessary

If your dealer is suggesting that the £1500 contribution is going next month (judging by Harv1989's post, and what dealers have told me before, he shouldn't/couldn't know this info)... He's probably saying that the £1500 contribution is going because he wants to clinch the sale this month.. maybe they're a few cars short of target.

If this is true, then it will will go in your favour when negotiating a discount

The £1500 could be going next month, you just don't know. My dealer told me it might, it might not. Do you want to risk it?
                          Which I thought was fair.

As Harv says, they only get their .pdf last thing on the last day of the month.

My dealer said the offer for the diesels was going soon as well, and also said their own contribution was also likely to stop being offered in the next month or two but wouldn't give exact dates etc - another nice little sales pitch.

The only way to get lower payments on a PCP finance deal is to obtain a discount on the car in lower to lower the payments as the GFV figure is set by the finance company and has nothing to do with the Dealer.

Yes it's true that the dealer network does not get details of the new campaign until the close of AFRL system at the end of the month, but we do sometimes get a heads up to allow us to trade hard due to a big change in offers. At time of writing this nothing has been published by Citroen, so you need to decide now on what you are doing because in order to secure the £1,500 deposit the DS3 MUST be registered by the 30th of June.

Also it's worth bearing in mind that there is most likely going to be a price increase during Quarter 3 trading so it's a guess of either taking the deal now or waiting with the chance of better terms - your choice.
