Paint Falling Off

Had my nice Red DS3 with Black roof since August, and loved every minute till tonight...........found back roof has now red paint showing through!!
Looks like the paint is blistering, best description I can make, and falling off in places.
Looks like a trip to dealer ASAP to get them to look.
To say unhappy nowis an understatement.

Anyone had a simular problem?

I had a C4 before this and hadsomething simular which Citroen put down to someone touching the ali bonet and leaving grease marks before beingpainted. Got that resprayed under warrenty.
But abit worried about this.............is it a sign of problems with DS3's to come??

Not yet as light was falling when I noticed will take some in the better light on Wednesday

Im sure some members have had problems with paint, i could be wrong but im sure ive read it somewhere. Hope the dealers sort it out for you, oh and welcome to the site :-)

Tried taking a picture tonight, but shine from rest of roof causing reflection but can see Red undercoat where paint has blistered off.
Two large areas and gave roof wash off and can feel small lumps in other places.
Hope I can call into dealery Thursday between work sites, so will see what they say.

No not bird poo!
Went to dealer todaywho sent me to bodyshop.
They had a good look and made some interseting comment.
They think the paint has not bonded to the red undercoat and in the heat has lifted, a bit like using a hot air paint stripper, there description not mine.
They were supprised that paint under black roof looked like normal paint and not an undercoat.
They are going to contact Citroen regarding getting it dne under warrenty. Did say Citroen my want to come and look themselves as was quite bad.
So hopefully will get sorted soon, but cannot say I'm that happy if that has happened.

Paint

I have the same problem mine has been to the dealers 3 times for the same problem they keep re painting it it's going in for a forth time soon so they can do it again and investigate further let me know how you get on this defiantly shouldn't happen my spoiler was the first place to start then my doors good luck though

When you say doors is that the main body colour or the black part?
It is a bit worrying you've been back that many times..............do Citroen have a problem with the paint work on DS3's that is just comming to light that could spoil the reputation of the car, which I still love

It's the roof colour so yours is black so you will then see the body colour coming through mine is White and red so I can see the red coming through I have spoken with citreon they have said there not aware of a issue but it could be that it's only coming to light during the hot weather that has just started as mine has only started doing it frequently when it's hot

You could be correct regardig the hot weather. It was really hot on Monday down here in Ket.
Car was parked in Departments Car Park where it gets really hot. It was Tuesday I noticed it at first, so could be connected.
Others have said like a hot air paint stripper been put on paint in places, and then blistered.
Hope I hear something this week.

I wouldn't be waiting for a call I'd drop the car off at the garage, give them the keys and tell them to get this sorted thats a total joke. How long you had your car now?
