LED day lights when using full beam

The sales person at the dealer told me that It was legal in the uk to have the day LED lights on at night with the full beams but I can't find how to change this setting?

Can anyone help?

The LED's are illegal to use at night, Citroen are aware of people changing the settings and are currently looking into changing the set up of the car to prevent owners and dealers from messing about with the settings. Citroen have advised dealers not to alter the settings for the cars because of the EU law regarding the use of LED and the regulations.

I think it should be legal with the side lights. I have often found that the leds are perfectly fine when the outside llight has become slightly darker, unfortunately my side lights get switched on as rear lights need to be on in these conditions. Its a shame you cant have side lights and LEDs, which then go off when Main beam is selected.

You cant have "headlights" and DRL'S only Sidelights + DRL'S

Is that specifically the DS3's LEDs?

Not the best photo but you can see the LEDs on my dad's E-Class on with the headlights...




I'll have a look tonight to see if they turn off when it goes dark but I'm sure they stay on.

Specific to the DS3.

Check your Dads merc. Chances are his DRL's reduce their intensity when the headlights are flicked on.

Probably more hassle than it's worth since you warranty gets ripped up when you bugger about with it, mind you if you even put an air filter in it most dealerships won't accept faults under warranty.
