  • Vents in boot!

Does that mean I can put a Rodent in the boot of the car and it can breath and drive to Birmingham?

My daughter is taking her rat up for a few weeks and my son is allergic so dont want Moo(Rat) in the main car...

I'd imagine it's ok whilst you're travelling - but as I dont have my DS3 yet, I'm not sure...

I wouldn't park up for a rest and leave Moo in there though, if the weather half decent I can imagine it could get warm in there pretty quickly.....

But I'm no expert I'm just very wary of pets in cars as have some labradors and have to ensure dogs are cool all the time (they never go in my car, only in the 'dogmobile' 4x4 :-)

    Regards,
    Clive.

Rodents don't sweat so blowing cold air on them be it from a fan or an open window won't help.

You need a constantly cool environment so keep them in the shade an ensure the boot is sufficiently ventalated. If you wouldn't sit in there for a long car journey it's unlikely they will either.

Its ok will take shelf off.. plenty of air then.. forgot about that!

He will be travelling straight up there and its only around 2 hours so should be fine...we are not stopping..

just wondering if the vents there were ok for pets..

        thanks for messages though

What were you wanting to put in them sorry? The sub goes in behind the little vent on the right hand side to hide it lol...

I do lol, don't know why, maybe so it looks like it isn't hiding anything on both sides as opposed to one lol?

I think she means just put them in the boot, and she's wondering if the vents provide any air!

Top tip - If you have the sub leave the stereo off/turned down or you'll deafen Moo .

LOL, I don't think you'd fit a rat in there, it's too small, mind you, it does get fed with cold air from the air con though................................

Moo was very happy on the journey to Birmingham.. I didnt blast the tunes and I took the parcel shelf off and had the air con on.. we arrived all relaxed and comfortable.. he is now making his new home up there.. so wont be cruising again.. which is a shame he personally loved the DS3 also.
