@ 1.35 that is about 55 miles per gallon (if my maths is right, or math if you are an illiterate american). That is low for the 90bhp. Is it low because of speeding or the engine not yet run in??

55 seems good to me.Considering it prob wasnt pure motorway, and doubt it was pootling along at 60. Ive only done 900 miles in mine and im getting 51mpg combo of A roads, roundabouts and then a 20 minute stint on a motorway each day.

Seriously noticing the wearing in effect. Done 5500 miles now and throttle response and fuel economy is so much better. Longer journeys seem to make all the difference to the economy of a diesel. Short stints of even 20 minutes on a motorway seem to give me lower figures. A fully loaded car and a 280 mile round trip to the midlands doing mostly 70 with some stop n go traffic I actually made the trip computer respond with a higher mpg rating despite my first 200 miles on the tank being short motorway stints to work with a large 50 zone. Done that long drive before and got much lower figures than yesterday suggesting that it really is getting better with wear. Which is good cause I was initially a bit disappointed.

                            HDi 90 btw
